Hello everybody,

first i have to thank this cool community and of course "Ono" for this incredible piece of software and "fused" for cindigo. keep on guys!!!

This bathroom ist my first serious project with indigo. Rendered over night on three machines.

Does anybody know a software for tonemapping? Tonemapping with photoshop cs3 sucks and qtpfsgui dont want to tonemap this exr. Also i canĀ“t open the igi file, created with indigo1.1.5, with violet or indigo1.1.7.

How to tonemap the rendered shots???

Thanks a lot!

I can't answer your question. Just wanted to say it's a damn fine image you got here! But get rid of the blurry leaves outside. They don't do the rest of the image justice.

thanks BbB! this blurry thing was to throw a blurry shadow in the room. Then its finished this "thing" will be replaced by a real sky...

how do you tonemap your renders? directly in indigo?

One thing you can try is to resume the render with 1.1.7 in order to use the embedded tonemapping tools. Hopefully 1.1.7 will take the 1.1.5 scene without complaining...

Certainly 1.1.7 told you what was wrong; as far as I can see, your last chance would be to follow 1.1.7 (or later) instructions (in error messages) for editing the exported igs/xml.

Remove the unexpected, add the expected and at the end that could work... nevertheless try tonemapped exr output (as opposed to untonemaped), maybe qtblahblah will accept it better ?

A great picture, even that BbB is right about the trees in BG... also the shadow of the plant in the lft seems very sharp, a softer one would please the nice atmosphere! Nice to see another cindigo user on the board.. welcome!

afaik 1.1.7 got this phong issue, should be fine with 1.1.9...

tonemapping via Indigo GUI atm doesn't work if you do networkrendering!
Simply after you are ok with the rendering, close indigo, start as normaly (not as working master) and resume your file, so you can tonemap your image :)

to get linear & camera working with exr (and the last cindigo capabilities!) raise the EXR gain to 1000000 and choose a very high exposure duration to get your exr bright enough for linear & camera tonemapping.

lowering the f-stop or the Focal length is also possible, but both have effect of your DOF, so take care!

Using Picternautfor tonemapping is also very easy! Make sure to save (un)tonemapped exr... or change this parameters in the igs file if you forgot, and resume the rendering!

One comment only to the design (renders is great). The shower base. It just looks odd. Much better would be custom one from tile matching the floor.
