I'm back with another update... As you can see I have added some stuff in the scene..
I kinda picked the wrong material for the wall, but I will change that before next render..

Very nice updates! Somehow the scale looks off.
Please check your scale and DOF settings.
take care

I think you were right... I have made some adjustments to the scale of the desk, and added some stuff and changed some materials...
I am using indigo 0.5 now and I have a question... Is it possible to use both cores of my dualcore cpu while rendering...? It's kinda sad to see that the cpu only uses 50 % of it's power:) I could do it in 0.6 but as radiance pointed out lots of stuff is broken in that release.. I appreciate all your help
btw if you have any tips on the chair material then don't hold back

The tail end of
radiances tutorial shows how to setup a server and as many clients as you need. It all runs localy on your machine. I've done this for my dual Xeon setup before.

Thank you guys
Again just a small update...
I really should spend my time on modelling instead of looking at the rendering

Althought not a 3D related site here you can find good wood images to be used as textures. Good variety and a reasonably good resolution too.
