@ Camox

very nice so far! was thinking about entering aswell. Tell me, I am struggling a problem i should have found a way around ages ago, how do you seperate your .obj, did you seperate the windows and brickwork etc. or is all just textured? Im not sure if im explaining myself clearly, do you understand? With a .3ds its all imported separately. Not with obj.

I think i am being daft :/ tutorials perhaps?

regards
mat

Hi matsta, I hope I understand you correctly. I am using c4d, there you can resolve the segments. So one has the possibility of better 3d object to edit. The windows, for example, I've only broken glass and then set himself. With the walls I've not done so cumbersome. Simply select the frozen and textured.

greetz

Hi guys! I'm going to give this scene a go too!

...I already downloaded and started messing around with it a few time ago indeed, but I've recently been too busy with my work, so I had no time to produce something good. Just remodeled the scene in sketchup, to optimize the geometry RAM-wise.
...i constantly check the uploads to the evermotion forum, and now I'm actually a little "scared": there are some excellent work already, and I still have to START with it, i feel like I'm too late. Moreover, i had some ideas about lighting and objects etcetera, but I see now someone else had the same ideas and already posted the render; so my question is: do I risk someone thinks that I wait for others to have the ideas and THEN i make my version? It should seem like I'm kind of cheating or something...

Don't really know if i could join now...
What do you think you guys?

Get the files they give you and don't look at the posted submissions; then do your stuff and show them. Then after they can say anything they want, even more, if you win !

Do what you feel, tell it was natural to do like so for this specific scene and they'll probably agree.

I am very sensible too when a competition has a deadline, I will never think I can make it. But that's just a feeling most of the time, one should repell negatives feelings if they prevent to do domething good.

That's what I think. And your kitchen image is wonderfull Pibuz !

palm tree and pool light are great but the house looks a bit strange to me (can't put the finger on it, besides maybe the super-sharp edges...

Great material Camox ! At the moment it's not easy to identify precisely (colors maybe ?) but it's looking great.

Is it a metal compound or some stone, that's my question...

Thx Ctzn, the material should be in the direction of old polished soapstone go.
