I had no luck with the UVs for the eyes in the OBJ file![]()
Maybe somebody of you guys can try the Alembic or Maya file and export the proper OBJ for the eyes with proper UVs

Thats a great render! Though I like the second one the best, the one without the photoshop touchup.

That cloud looks mighty well! What's his story?

Re: Simple Renderings Thread
Something I have been thinking about doing.. basically a low-tech + fast method of doing clouds. More or less a billboard texture, created from a real cloud photo.

Re: Simple Renderings Thread
Hmmm, interesting! I suppose that this method of creation ignores our sun position, since the cloud itself comes from a photo?
Re: Simple Renderings Thread
I was thinking of taking a few photos of clouds with different angles relative to the sun.thesquirell wrote:Hmmm, interesting! I suppose that this method of creation ignores our sun position, since the cloud itself comes from a photo?

Well, that sounds really interesting, and I would definitely would want to see how it works out inside a real project! Keep us updated, Ono, you are the man!

In general, I dislike tricks in CG, but sometimes we are forced to use them. Dreaming of day when we will have powerful machine that enables us to do whatever we want, and simulate everything in RT!
