Also sped up the displacement and subdiv code a bit.

Now you just need to add atmosphere and scatter trees :D

Fully agreed, been pushing him to extend his scattering code to place some trees to hide that "ocean floor" :)

He's already done the atmosphere, but didn't post the pics!

Indigo has support for a planetary-scale atmosphere model. See the test scene in this thread: http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/vie ... =3&t=12050

Thanks for the reply, Ono. I thought it there will be some is setting the atmosphere are available to users. I also looked at the test scene but did not understand how it can be used to Cindigo.

Basic terraces in ISL.

Using a full scale atmosphere simulation would add to the image depth indeed. It's tricky to set up because it works under specific conditions for the planet scale as illustrated somewhere in that IGS mentioned above. Simple PT was mandatory recently.

In general it may currently be most convenient to merge the IGS scenes manually.

PIGM material (with user friendly controls in order to tweak the code) available in this thread.

Jan Walter Schliep, one of the Silva3D artists, recently released a really good low poly model intended for massive instancing!
You can find it on his facebook page or on the silva3d page ;)

Most of the time its the 3D app you work with that has issues handling multiple instances of hig rez models, Indigo will eat them for breakfest: http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/vie ... 50#p119550

That's a great material/lighting setup.
