Ahoy, my coworker is learning realflow and he was testing some juice materials with no juicy results :D

so I gave indigo a shot overnight and this was a result, don't mind the simulation, I know it needs work =)

tbh indigo isn't really animation frendly (reusing light layers, output naming, overview...) so I wonder how soon is something planned to get some animation controls in indigo?

still the simplicity of scene setup amazes me everytime, I wish I could say the same about speed, heh

Cheers!

Hi, nice animation!
We are planning on doing a bit more work on the animation part of the GUI.
We will do a few things like reordering of items in the render queue, being able to set the image output path for each item etc...

Nice Animation :)

I would sugest for such stuff to use some region render around the action area and only render that, puting this animation over a single full rendered image ;)

For animations with Indigo a good temporal denoiser is worth gold! Atm Indigo uses the same seed for every frame, that results in static noise, afaik that gets changed in the future...

Oh, there are a lot of possibilities in enhancing animation friendliness, but atm there are other priorities for the devs I think :/
(Output naming is actually a Exporter feature since Indigo supports it)

Thanks, what I really missed was having controls over light layers for all projects in the queue, or even after all the renders are done (maybe some batch type of command? but I fear this would mean all the renders should pause and wait for final change, dunno if this is ram frendly..), when testing I hardly go without tweaking light layers, just awesome feature =) (I hope I am not being silly and this is actually possible... heh)

The noise wasn't really an issue here since the idea was to prove the posibility of realism =) so it was set to just 1k s/p and denoised in AE..

Also I really liked the net render workflow, setting it up is easy as it can get!

Anyway my trial period is over in 2 days, I really hope this renderer gets production frendly soon.. will be monitoring the updates closely, thanks for all the feedback ;)

Cheers

wow, that was fast, didn't expect anyone to find it in the dof :D

Messing around with a new spatial scatter thing, a bit like the current scatter tool but in free space.
10K cubes:

Had a go at modelling and rendering my number plate light! :p Was fun to model and I have learnt a lot more about light, or at least how light works in indigo! :D :D

Testing a new fractal type called a multifractal.
Also sped up the displacement and subdiv code a bit.

Multifractals !? I can take'em all, banzaï !

Great addition to ISL !
