So... another reason to get MPD...
IF you use BIH, then it should handle that amount of polys, I think.

In fact, even without BIH, the 64 bit version of 1.0.9 could handle it, I'm sure. I have yet to break its back ;-)
Don't worry, it's just me looking for any old excuse to bring up MPD again...

Found this on youtube:

A really cool fluid animation with Blender + Indigo:

I don't want to know how long those took to render !!!

great! but I would like to see the fluid animation at a bigger resolution and better quality than shown on youtube...

I think soon blender gets the ability to have the fluid shaped as objects (its already in cvs but not accessible yet)

so... maybe a community project to render something at 480p could come about - also good publicity material for indigo

edit: for interest this is Nils Thuerey's site showing his fluids work 8)

I have one also.
Was testing some particles export from Max.
No idea of what it's supposed to be though.

Eh.. I really have to stop doing those pointless tests and render a bit more proper scene at some point.
Here's another thing with no meaning. I was playing with the 3ds Max displacement modifier.

ps. @BbB - Yeah, a christmas tree it was 8)

lol, great christmas tree^^
actually, a nice disp-test :) Looks like a cylindrical planet, where the topo is inside out xD

beta: that texture is great ;) - at least from that angle, it's hard to see, where it repeats... I dunno, how it'd look from top view....
