Excellent rubber material!!!!
What modeling app did you use? Is it sketchy? could you share the model? I'm very interested in understanding SSS materials, I have to write a new tut soon

Hey Solar! Thanks... I was kind of hoping that was sketchUp :P A blender scene wouldn't help me, I'm a total noob in Blender, and a lazy sketchy user  BTW, I've written some tuts already, but they're for SU only.. You can find them on my blog (see signature)... OH, they're in italian

Translucent porcelain with a celadon like glaze, glaze layer is modeled seperately - rendered pretty quick using GPU

awesome images here lately! :D

i've been having fun with the medial rhombic tricontrahedron, the glass one is interestingly abstract (I turned off vignetting to enhance the effect)

Your Performance test looks quite like some AO render... also some issues in the nose/eye area, please fix :P

Anyway, am I the only one who sees the 13million samples/sec here?!!

dcm, your renders deserve an own thread, they don't look simple! They look perfect. You have style.

I have been trying the new Rigify-system in blender 2.58 today, and it makes you set up a completely rigged character within minutes. Really cool. I didn't have to adjust any weights with this simple character, it just worked out of the box. Good stuff!
