What you need sir was a shader that would allow slightly different nuances of colors for each leafdcm wrote:

Additional UV layouts, what? And then? How knows any material which layout it should use?

I used two different exposures from the same render, then baked the same scene with Foreground alpha and use it as alpha, so I could have more contrast.
