Jesus H christ.. Im seeing some really amazing sketchup modelling here. One of you needs to write some tutorials (modelling couches, lamps, chairs, cars, etc.) I would practically give up my left nut if I could just model inside of sketchup and forgo the tiresome process of importing.

Motiva Camera is a sweet find!

My Radeon HD 3650 doesn't want to run it though... I just get a red image :(

Hi Pixie - I think your render looks more realistic than the photo of the real thing! :mrgreen:

Maybe a subtle bump on the saucer so the reflection is a bit wavy like the photo for a bit of added realism?

Acknowledged! ;) Put Some perlin bump which resulted into a nice foam and also into the saucer.

A really nice way to get some surface imperfection done!
maybe a little strong for my taste ;-)

a 3D noise would really help here to leave uvm untouched.
