glass + HDR is so much fun ;-p
1st try at modeling something ..
.. and this was difficult !!
decided that I 'liked' the defects : looks like it's chipped

the src image for the emitter needed tweaking, I gave up after that last try (prev port)
so tried w. a different image:

for the the chips : the model was messed up in Blender to begin with,
I used boolean ops & got weird normals or something.
also, I need to learn how to control the 'smoothed' (subsurf ?) parts on different parts of an object. here everything ends up 'smoothed' !

yeah, I like that unfinished plywood look too !
there's suppose to be a specular map, but when I started testing textures,
I tried w. diffuse map,
then added bump map ..
I recently tried w. the specular map & didn't get nice results,
again I gave up after a couple of tests.

I was playing with camera tonemapping and glare and came up with this. Thought I'd post it eventhough it'd still need some rendering time.
