Re: Simple Renderings Thread
Looks like a crappy photo Quite realistic! The plant leaves look a bit plastic though.
Re: Simple Renderings Thread
I just hate renders that are mimicking crappy photography, it's bad enough to see actual crappy photographs... If you could have the ultimate studio setup worth thousands, why would you choose to use the crappy integrated flash instead?
It's a very nice and absolutely beautifully detailed scene, it doesn't deserve to be raped by awful lightning.

Re: Simple Renderings Thread
be cool silma , i was testing flash, nothing more! i hope its not a crime
Re: Simple Renderings Thread
No problem, just don't do it again
Re: Simple Renderings Thread
It's nice that it looks real, apart from the light coming from a weird angle (plant shadows) instead of above camera, unless it was one of those detachable flashes, or a seperate strobe etc.
Re: Simple Renderings Thread
Suvs- great renders, interior looks so good
dcm- nice scene but render is lit a bit "blee" Light behind camera make scene too flat and washed out, as test is ok but older renders better Very nice material of silk !

testing wattage of emmiters in real values vs. environment. I found that if you want to have visible your emitters, mostly used 100/60/40W for interiors, double glass in window is a must. All layers are in value 1. Lamp and ceiling lamp is 100w, kitchen lamps 40w. MLT bidir.
Re: Simple Renderings Thread
Very nice! How do you define the "real" value for environment? Are they all standardized or something? And how much does the double glass darken the environment? Because it really shouldn't, should it?
By the way, the Aalto Beehive is made of matte white aluminium, not glass.

Nice shoes
Works better imo than having the actual character like in your previous one

Re: Simple Renderings Thread
Dcm : very nice scene!
However, the backplate/envmap looks fake. The colours and contrast look very poor compared to the neat indoor render.
Did you use an envmap or a backplate for the background? Do the backplate match the same scene as the envmap?
I do not figure if what looks wrong is:
- The bad quality (resolution, colorimetry) of the background compared to the crisp render (degrading the render while compositing could improve quality consistency?)
- The mismatch between lighting and background
- Maybe both

even with the bluest sky ever outside, my home with white walls stays white for my eyes, no blue tint...galinette wrote: - The mismatch between lighting and background
