Hi troopers,

Mostly 3dsmax stuff, the displaced island (displace modifier), the trees are indigo proxies via the max plugin, water is just a modified bluey glass with IOR set to 1.33 with bump map for waves. Used the max 2011 sculpt tools (yeah they kinda suck but are ok for quick geometry) for the underwater sand bars/etc

a couple of the same scene, water bump was low res =\

looks promissing, but why not using ISL based noise for water bump?
or even better displacement (if there is enough RAM available)

dcm, first warning with going off topic

Excellent sampling consistency throughout the image, lighting is not the least for you. Good job !

Here is the pic after few hours later. :)

There is one plane in window (2000W, 6504) and 2 planes behind camera (one 4300k and one 8500k). Lamps are 60W 3600k. I used MLT bidir with SS4. There is still decent noise due to high glossy tiles and floor. Of course, room is lil longer behind the camera due to space needed for camera placing.
Carpet/Towels are displaced by 3 subdiv (meshes are higly subdivided directly in Max)

Looks great!

But indeed very noisy... can you specify which light emitter causes the most noise?
Perhaps the one behind the camera?
If you increase the power dramatically for this/these, and crank it down manually in the Indigi GUI, you might get rid of the noise.
But I guess that you know this workaround for a lonf time already. :)
Cheers, David
