Tried another rendering, different model. Attached is a cropped portion of it-
notice there are "slices"? running through that are offset from the rest of the vertical lines/wall edges.
same problem maybe?

Can this be an exporter issue?

This is just bizarre;
crc: if this bug is really slowing you down, can you make me a nice simple test scene, and send me the .igs?
Also can you paste the log file somewhere or send it to me?

That looks really strange. Don't think it is the exporter. If the geometry would have been exported wrong, there would be some shadows visible at the borders...

Maybe you should post this in the bugs and requests forum that Ono definitely sees it.

You know what's weird, is I had this exact same problem with MENTAL RAY for Maya a few weeks ago! I dunno, maybe that would help you, ono?

It doesn't seem likely to be an exporter issue but it is weird that only crc and myself have noticed this issue (and both using SkIndigo).

I am wondering if this problem could be related to camera aspect ratio or image dimensions. Or...maybe a bug in the supersampling code?

I just did a test with just one of the windows using the "Quick Export" option in Skindigo, still the same problem. I can post the log or send it to you, the .igs is still pretty big, but can email if you like.

Than, I saved the window component out and opened, and it rendered fine.

Whaat--
I ran some tests changing the camera and aspect ratio, and didn't seem to make a difference, but I haven't been able to replicate the problem in a "control" environment. Also thought it was maybe an exr issue, but same thing happened with just "background" on.
