Trombone + Trumpet. Yes, it actually exists, no that it not its real name

A small general remark...(not specially for you BZ Win)
Why don't you guys use jpg format? 4 MB's for wip is way too much i think. That's a common thing around here. Don't abuse the upload feature. Let's save some bandwidth of all of us.

will you use gold, or will you try to find brass?

Yeah, normal smoothing is off, as it was just a test.
Kram1032: The one I have sitting in front of me is brass, so the 1st render will probably be a brass color...
But, we have one at school that is painted a dark navy blue, it looks quite cool as well..

did some more on it, and let it render for ~3 hours while we went to see Spider Man 3

It doesn't look bad, but kinda plastic...
I guess, gold, maybe also a blend of gold and copper, is the best choise, as brass mat.
(Au.nk + Cu.nk : 0.33 as blend setting)
How was the film?

That definetly isn't a final material, or it is not the final scene...
Still trying to figure out the new Blendigo exporter, because I am personally used to / like the classic type better.
About the film, I would give it 7/10, it was 2.5 hours long, and they really drew it out... Probably could have been only 1.75 or 2 hours....

I see...
I'm curious to the 5th Harry Potter Film: The book was overly outdrewn.
The film can get rid of MANY scenes, this time, without worrying.
