Hi,
i'm trying to render an iceberg, but i have a lot of troubles to create a material that look like an iceberg.
How could i achieve that?
I'm using indigo v3.8.33 with blender 2.77
Thanks a lot.
Regards, Sam

Probably with some good texture maps, to begin with. See if you can find normal maps, spec maps etc.
I wouldn't worry too much about SSS/transmission, other than probably mixing in a bit of a Diffuse transmitter material, to ensure it's still fairly quick to render.

Hi,
I searched for a similar material, but nothing matches.
Also, the model is not finished. I will finish it with zbrush. And i will not use texture maps because i wanted to have a realistic render. That's include to have a realistic material.

Right... so how are you planning to accomplish the colour and/or surface/microstructure variations that a realistic material requires?
