Gemstones

Post by contegufo » Mon Jun 20, 2016 3:28 am

Hi

What you see is in the caveau of my house.
Taking into account the global scale of about 1.5 meters the stones should be between 25 and 40 cm!
Stones so big you what I found in the garden I planted tomatoes !!!!

Why so big gemstones? You do understand that you won't get realistic looking gems at that size, right?

Hi

I have to learn in Cinema 4D to create a set suitable for small objects.
Do you think that if the gems were a few millimeters the final appearance would change?

Hi

After selecting, cm, as suggested in the previous post I have activated the project Scale option from the Edit menu, then 0.5 Target stairs twice. At this point the confirmation screen Cinema me the reduction of scale. The bottom square indicates the size of the set (21.459 cm, 14.625 cm, 33.863 cm).

The gem after reduction an average size of 4x3x2 cm. They are acceptable values for medium/low carat gems. Then launching Indigo interface "scenes info" we "Scene span" 0.45 m, 0.34 m, 0.34 m. then 45 cm, 34 cm, 34 cm.
Are larger values of the Set of Cinema but is also likely counting the space occupied by the two light and then the whole area becomes a big plus.

The biggest diamond in the world, Golden Jubilee, after cutting the diamond reached a weight so far failed to 545.67 carats (109.13 grams).
In the afternoon, place the image indigo renders now.

If these are the same as I found in archive3d they are off by a 10x factor. so it's a matter of set the scale to 0.1 in C4D.

Here's the scene. I do not see any difference.
Strange previewing in OpenGL, a bug?

You can always compensate, you can give it more absorption.
