Nintendo Wii

Post by nakile » Sat Mar 03, 2007 4:11 pm

My first real render made in Indigo. It's a Nintendo Wii, something I figured would be neat to render.

I know, a lot of grain. I'd say this was only rendered for an hour.

There's a problem though. I set the case to a nice reflective phong material, but it isn't even showing up. I don't get it. I think the lighting might be it: I'm using sunlight.

Other then that, I'd say it looks like a Wii except for a few things. Still can't seem to get that disc slot right!

Very good :) yes it does look like a Wii except for a few proportion issues. And maybe you dont see reflections because there is really nothing to reflect in the scene lol...

They have each other to reflect.

For example, this was rendered in Indigo a few days ago.

Only problem was there was no color or power light! :(

I was using the new Blindigo exporter scrip. I think that might have done it.

Either way, I updated the scrip, stuff seems to be working better, but I'm not sure.

I'm also using the latest test version of 0.7. The last image was using 0.6. I'm sure this has something to do with it in some way.

what's the IOR on the phong..gotta turn it up nice and high..start at 15 maybe.

Turn exponent way up, to like 100000 or so, and you should get great reflections..
