"Advanced" WIPs

Post by Pibuz » Sun Jun 09, 2013 3:59 am

This is a new topic that I hope you guys will find useful for sharing not-so-easy works - wip and finished - which we will hardly have the time to change, due to new upcoming deadlines or..simple laziness

I'm starting here with a new image, which is a wip I have actually some more time to work onto, so if you guys have suggestions please shoot! At the moment, I have to fill up the big white wall on the background, and light up the rear corridor.. Really difficult space to represent in one single image, though....

Looks pretty impressive so far :)

Is that lit with a Sun/Sky light or an emitter?

Main emitter is EXR map; you can also see the ceiling lamp and the background paper lamp.

Great mats and lighting - but the lower half of the image is quite distorted. I think you could find another solution - maybe make a wall invisible to the camera and move the camera backwards a bit? :)

Love the light and material setup, as usual!!! ;)
But I'm not quite sure if I like the strong distortion caused by the wide-angle in the lower right corner (the whole table and chairs)
*edit* agree with oscar :D

Maybe a more nocturnal setup in the stairs room, dimmed lights no daylight. Some concept of contrast following the one of image burming, wich is doing good here.

A few new ones from me: come on guys, I am the only one using this topic? This is not exclusive, you know!
..not completely satisfied btw, after a VERY long working time, I decided I had to end it and followed the instructions from the architect just as they came, kinda "do you agree?" "SURE I DO!".

It looks great, I like all of them (especially the first one). The people is very nicely integrated in the scene!

Nothing to improve... Just some distorsions in the third picture, but this always happens in small rooms. Great work as usual!

Hi Pibuz.
Beautiful renders as usual, real good looking architecturals and decoration.
Some suggestions: try this material for the big light emitters in your exterior renderings:

Ciao.

I think it's time for a new Indigo Showreel on YouTube. The level of the recent work here is astounding.

Awesome renders Pibuz.

Hi all guys! Thanks a lot for your cheering: it really means a lot to me and pushes me further in the investigation of what Indigo is capable of!

..I have to admit that a good base project rarely leads to bad renders.. I mean that half of the goodness of an archviz illustration is..the architecture itself! The base here was good, the project is interesting and has some very inspiring indoor spaces.. It's a pity I could only do 5 renders of it, but you know: noone would have paid for the extra ones

The most difficult part is always lighting, for me. How to balance natual and artificial, and most of all what design lamp fits the scene from time to time. You place a light wrong, you ruin all of your efforts...It's diabolic!

Thank you again!

New rush work. Here is an interior shot of a very cheap green house, project by a colleague of mine (indoor furnishing and ideas are all mine, instead..).

I'd like to post the same room rendered some time ago by my colleague herself. She came to me and told me: "Make it convincing!"
