kklors render stuff
Re: kklors render stuff
thanks zom-b!
I did not think of this - sadly it needs 25*rendertimes/frame to get decent results. Mixing with the Vector Motion Blur Effect could help decreasing the subframes but is not working with indigo. (off course, otherwise it could be rendered internal too)

Re: kklors render stuff
The good point about this MoBlur technique is that the samples cumulate up!
Having 10 spp per rendering renderings end up with a 250 spp by combining these 25 images together!

I have been following your weeklies for a while and love them!
nice to See sombody using renderengines in a creative way
I also saw the renderings where you used animated displacement with motionblur, but is this possible with indigorenderer/cinema?
Even after baking the pla I could not geht any deformation blur....any ideas?
thanks, maik
Thank you a lot!
Yeah as Zom-B said, the only real working bruteforce way of having moblur to work on everything without having to cache PLA or whatnot is by using subsampling moblur with various passes. Usually 16 are enough for most stuff.
Sadly there are no animated textures either, but if mesh heavy geo isn't a problem you can also use C4D's effectors to drive displacement for example and animate those. An old gif as an example:

ok, I see! thanks for your help.
I kind of see what MLT is capable of....this is something I could not find in any other engine...
wicked how MLT finds its way to the highlights and beautiful noise in the dark!

Oh all good, no stress about that. As long as people post renders it's not that important for me in which thread.

Stinkie and kklors might as wel be brothers* separated at birth, who knows!

Re: kklors render stuff
Well ... We both like 'weird', that's for sure. But kklors is obviously technically far more adept than I am. Kudos!
Re: kklors render stuff
hi, don't know if you are near vienna but there is a nice screening this weekend by robert seidel at the filmmuseum. It is called "penetrating surfaces" and is all about art and rendering. It is with artists like zeitguised and quayola...so you are not alone out there!
I really like how people like stinkie and kklors are pushing the boundaries and are using technology in a creative way. Keep up the good work!
cheers, maik

Re: kklors render stuff
Thank you a lot perfahl. I dig Zeitguised a lot, also seen their stuff here in Berlin, so didn't go to Vienna.
Some new random piece. Been a while.
