Simple Interiors Thread
Re: Simple Interiors Thread
I am actually wondering whether fire could possibly be regulated by a procedural shader... kind of the one for the fog..
Would be wonderful to get rid of the "light-coming-from-a-single-face" issue, which now we have to solve by invisible lights or other despicable techniques..

Indigo to the rescue!bubs wrote:This left me with the problem that the light from the fire only went in certain directions...
Use double sided emitter ftw!
A simple example of a emitting plane and the C4D exporter...

Wow, I like the look of that! Might be the first good fire I've seen in Indigo (just like your bread was the first delicious looking I had seen).bubs wrote:Fire test for interior.
Re: Simple Interiors Thread
If not in some exporters, the request it in to the exporter devs directly, until then you can use that code:Pibuz wrote:..indeed now we can have two sided materials! Great!

Thanks Oscar, I can't claim all the credit for the bread tho, I found a tutorial online somewhere (I'm afraid I can't remember where...) which included the hi-res textures. I did have to do the modelling myself in sketchup... which was fun...Oscar J wrote:Wow, I like the look of that! Self modeled Sketchup sofa I've made for an interior scene. Uses a variation of DCM's leather from the material database, and a metal of my own which is just a blend of a two different colours & exp.

Wonderful!
..the only thing is the lowres floor....

I know! I know! Just a place holder scene to show the sofa, promise I'll make it better!
Re: Simple Interiors Thread
Re-render of the last with proper floor (hope it's OK Pibuz! ) at higher res. My first finished render on 3.8.1 nice speed-ups!
