Glad you liked it. :) Does anybody know if there some handy way to create chromatic aberration in Indigo?

There used to be a tonemapper called Violet that handled this.

For chromatic aberration there are two options (for me anyway)

Motiva RealCamera - very good control; you can add CA as well as tone-map, add vignette, silver retention, etc. Sometimes the tonemaps that I use are too strong in Indigo (Ektachrome, Kodachrome), so I save a neutral tonemap, and then use a faded tonemap in Motiva. Just some of its features. Check it out.

Lens Correction in Photoshop -- straightforward nothing to add here.

Good work, keep going! :)

Thanks for the tips! Motiva RealCamera don't seem to be available for mac, but I'll try the Photoshop filter out! Indigo keeps crashing today though. :(

Are you using the latest 3.2.9 version Oscar? Please do report crashes, as we're aiming for a Stable release soon!

If you can make a stable version that doesn't bug up or crash like this, I might consider a purchase. I'm using Indigo 3.2.8 and Blendigo 3.2.6. Where should I post my crash reports? Should I post the diagnostic logs as well?

Ideally, a mail to support@indigorenderer.com with the steps that caused the error, the error in full and anything else you think might help (screenshot, scene file etc).

We regularly release versions marked as Stable between our (already relatively stable) beta releases on the forum. You didn't say what the problem was, but I would hope Indigo isn't really "crashy" in general - that would mean we're missing a whole lot of support mails!

Hate to say it, but from my little experience it is - but I might just have been unlucky so far with it. It's a bit demotivating to be honest, I haven't yet been able to finish a scene because of crashes or in-understandable errors . I'll send you an email soon with my latest issue.

Hi Oscar,

Please consider upgrading to Indigo 3.2.9. It has brought some MacOS specific fixes and stability with some networked operations.

See the log down the first post from OnoSendai. http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/vie ... =1&t=11481

Also make sure that your GPU driver is up to date, Indigo being picky with older drivers. It's not because other apps, including games, would work alright with them that Indigo would be content in turn (this is high-tech ;)).

Here's a little step forward. Still haven't managed to get a HDRI working, it's got to be .exr, right?

Correct!
I am not aware of an inexpensive Mac program that allows you to convert .hdr into .exr but the Windows software Picturenaut has helped me in the past. I have a copy of Windows Vista running in VM-Ware Fusion for the occasion that I cannot find an equivalent mac software and to run my 3D CAD software.

Good to hear that installing Indigo 3.2.9 fixed the problem. BTW, I suspect the glass is single-sided; if this is the case please see the tutorial on correctly modelling glass here: http://www.indigorenderer.com/documenta ... ling-glass

No, no, I've already seen that tutorial. The glass is double sided. :)
