Number 1 and 4 are the best for me. Nice job
O and 10x for flyingarchitecture.com

1 is the best for me too, good work!
..I don't know about the lost of AD in the big render: let's wait for some developer's (quick) answer

Re: Chocochoc's Architecture WIPs
Hi guys
yeah flying architecture is an amazing website !
I like n°3 because the lights has some presence.
However I'll go for n°1 ! since you two seem to vote for it.
OnoSendai answered me on a topic I made in the indigo help etc...the AD problem is due to memory
I knew I should have got 16 GB of RAM...
I'm thinking about what I could add the scene to fill it a little. I'm thinking of some piled books and a little table like I said earlier...

Re: Chocochoc's Architecture WIPs
Don't add a thing! Resist the urge to clutter this scene with stuff. It's beautiful as is!
Re: Chocochoc's Architecture WIPs
I think a square image would maximize the composition..
Re: Chocochoc's Architecture WIPs
Ok Guys,
Thanks for answers, then here a squared-not-filled-with-stuff version.
Too bad I had to cut off most of the blue shadow mass.

Re: Chocochoc's Architecture WIPs
Following up with Pibuz suggestion, I would add: open the space a bit between the two items and shoot tadly larger, all details could fit a square and the whole volume would feel more balanced.
But who am I nitpicking with, very nice scenes and renders here ! I personally like the exterior shots more, 2nd and fourth of the first serie.

Chocochoc's Architecture WIPs
Very nice one! The outside texture has to be brightened up imho.
Great work!
Great work!

Re: Chocochoc's Architecture WIPs
Thanks for your support
CTZn> I'm sorry I don't know "tadly" = "a bit" ?
Yeah I can space the two furnitures, but the scene will become more rectangular since it's already larger that it's heigh
However, your opinion is welcome ! I always say I don't need to know how to make cakes to give my opinon on it :p
I'm glad you like the exteriors, after all this is what I had the more difficulties to shoot. Since my very beggining with indigo...(my first tries where on Indigo versions < 1.0)
zeitmeister> Thanks, yeah I'll give a try to raise the gain of the HDR map !
However, I'll be putting that in pose a couple of days, so I can finish to code my website
Thanks again guys !

I missed the fact that you were an old timer chocochoc, experience is paying here certainly.
About the suggestion, well, you know, I'm only a troll under spell, hence my english. Sry Mr Tadly.
You are right, I meant "a bit".

Re: Chocochoc's Architecture WIPs
Talking about langage, I'm from Paris as well
But let's keep it in English since we are talking on a public place :p
I'm an old timing amateur. I used indigo to render my architecture school projects since something like v0.7 but
since I was always running after my deadlines I never had the time to learn correctly and especially my exteriors where horrible. I just pressed render and prayed for cool stuff XD
Now that I graduated I'm learning lots of things which Indigo is part of
So this is more the result of my past few months experience in global 3D and CG.

Re: Chocochoc's Architecture WIPs
Hi guys,
I'm working on a new scene, and I wanted to wait till it's a bit finished before showing it, but after all there would be no reason to post in WIP if so.
This is a very early shot, with low poly dummies and missing stuff. However I already configured the global light and that's mostly what I'm showing here. (the HDR is meant to be changed for some megalomaniac shot of NY for example, you will fill on a high floor of a skyscraper or something like this).
However, I'm thinking of adding some IES profiles, I guess it will look more...realistic ?
That's my first project made directly in 3D, without 2D plans as a base...I must say that when you are not running after cm²s this is very pleasant to do it this way. it's been 2 days I'm conceiving it and as you can see there is not even a door to enter the room However that will come soon.
So, what is that project all about ? Well, did you ever ask yourself about famous animal actors way of life ? those animals that play in cinema movies...like flipper, lassie, babe, willy etc...what do they do with all that crazy cash they accumulate ? You really think they stay humble animals playing in dirt ? False ! They enter the JetSet...and that's especially true for that good old Flipper who asked me to draw his playroom. This is why, the floating rectangle (not only the dark part) supported by the light beam you see between the two floors is a pool in fact.

Re: Chocochoc's Architecture WIPs
Hey!
The project is actually interesting! Do you plan to have a glass-bottomed pool? beause it could generate interesting shadows from one storey to another! The image is quite small, it results to be a little blurry: I find that test images give good reference with a 900x900 resolution (and I can see the whole image in the indigo GUI ). I like the change of the mood generated by the different lights' temperatures, and obviously IES profile would enhance the realism: beware the IES profile you use though! At the moment the emitters seem to be like big LEDs, don't know if a correct IES profile exists for that kind of light!
