Modelling a lightbulb in Blender

Post by Doug Armand » Sun Jul 31, 2011 2:43 am

For those who may be interested I am posting a series on my blog of how I am modelling and rendering an old fashioned incandescent lightbulb.

I am using Blender 2.49 and my test renders are done in Indigo v3.0

I should have it all complete in the next few days or so. Its sort of a very basic how-to but it would be nice to have some feedback from you guys - either here or anywhere else that I inhabit cyberspace :)

second part is up now:

3rd bit up now

Final post up now - not much to it though :)

PS: My blog is ad and spam free :D - lol it have to be or else it would be bad if I have to dissaprove my own post no?

NOooooo not that thread :) hehe. Actually for the images I intend to use this model for I won't need to have it lit.

and thanks for the blog comments - the skin is just a wordpress one so I take no credit - the blog contents though are all mine :)))

You show me yours, I'll show you mine.
Takes forever to render this. Worse than frickin' milk.
