Doug Armand wrote:Actually Neo this is just a suggestion but I think a project like this is better served using one of the many blog applications out there.

For instance you could use excellent free blogs such as Wordpress, http://wordpress.com/ or Blogger https://www.google.com/accounts/Service ... =start#s01 and could then post on a daily or weekly on basis how your project is coming along and then post updates to this thread when you reach major milestones?.

If you look at a lot of the other contributors here that is what they do - in fact that is what I do as I only post here images that I think may be of interest to others because of a technique or treatment I've used - for example my recent modelling a lightbulb post pointed people to my blog - I didn't post any images here.

This is just an idea and NOT an attempt to have you post less. The choice, as always, is yours

So in other words you have told him to bugger off. Wow, and I thought the community around here was decent.

A bit like Fools and Horses. Everyone knows Del Boy's a pain but can't bring themselves to say IT in the right manner.

Quite harsh, IMO.

Hi tar_gniK,

please don't generalize. Seeing the behavior of some and projecting it onto others is also not the nicest thing to do.

I (we) try to keep the flaming in neo's topics at a minimum, but we also have to work, live and sleep and can't always have our eyes on the forum.

Everyone, please, if you don't like neo's posts and are only interested in his progress for the purpose of being mean, use phpBB's ignore list feature: http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/ucp ... &mode=foes
Thanks.

Hey neo0, if you are seriously thinking about switching to blender this might interest you:

I just downloaded it and hope to find some spare time to play around with it :-)

Very cool stuff. I downloaded the latest release of blender earlier and im slowly making my way around it. Will definitely check it out! Thanks for the link! In the meantiiime, here is an update. Focused on using more interesting camera angles. No texture yet. Im planning to use the renders on moddb, so I did a clay render. Switching to "light with background color" produced a very nice look.
