I'm almost wordless, that's impressive for the least, Piotr.

Are you done with modeling already ?

Hello and Merry Christmas for all Indigo users and programmers :)

Thanks very much for all warm comments guys ! :) I`m really glad you like it !

dougal2-cool, When I lived in UK 2 years ago I saw a few times that Bentley oldmobile (great car with spirit)
solarray-Total polys: 926,770
Silma- Hmm I dont know, never read Casino Royall book
CTZn- Yes I think all is done in model.

Another renders with some materials and clear render with 2nd view
What you think ?

Thanks and Merry Christmas :)

The headlights look really awesome! Would you be so kind to explain how they are done? I mean how you build them up and which materials you use and if you did some postpro or not?

As I started the lancia I used luxrender, and were not really successfull in creating such good headlights. You can check my old thread on luxrender http://www.luxrender.net/forum/viewtopi ... =14&t=3620 from the 9'th post there you will see my progress to the headlights.

I would really appreciate if you could tell me how you did it.

Thanks and merry christmas.

hey Piotr, all additions to the previous steps you posted are fine, I mean materials and yeah, the headlights also are a success.

I'll give constructive criticism a try:

One thing that seems off to me is the brake handle... okay I don't have a reference to certify this and I'm quite easy with crits (you just fight back ! ;)) but it doesn't seem convenient at the moment, both too wide and too close to the car body. The tire pattern is perhaps too sharp, or, too regular (randomize components half a millimeter ? Nitpicking, me ? Never ! ). It's hard to tell though, since tires are not shaded yet.

Well, I think that's another top notch project coming from you !

solarray- Thanks very much :) Its not sucesfull maybe because are you using Lux render not Indigo ;) Seriously there is chrom mat and 2 glass with one ball as emiter as light bulb. Tonight I`d like share some mats and wire from lamps. Glow is from indigo.

CTZn- Thanks so much for all your right things I `ll change that :). If you found other please add comments This is very helpful for me to make it better.

What needs to be change in carpaint ?

IMO the paint is a little too glossy for a car of that age, also the radiator should be a little duller as it is nickel plated, not chrome.

however you might not be aiming for the vintage look, in which case your current mats already look quite good. :)

I might be able to find some reference pics if you want to be really pedantic about accuracy ;)

maybe try to apply a light noise map with high scale as bump for the man body to simulate some imperfection in the reflections.
Even today Cars aren't totally perfect regarding this...

But so far this seems to be a quite promising project!

Zom-b - thanks for comment :) Yes you right, I tried but I had problem with textures and glossy and when I add bump material are dark but I try make it again.
