Indigo 2.0.4

Post by OnoSendai » Fri May 01, 2009 1:42 pm

Hi All,
The main difference in this version from 2.0.3 is that temporary files, plus the licence key will be saved to C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\Indigo Renderer (or equivalent on XP), to avoid problems writing to the Program Files dir on Windows Vista.

Please test and let me know if it works!

There's no improvement in 2.0.4 for mac - i'll do a build for completeness later.

@Ono

Please fix the command line scene loading for UI. Manual file browsing really sucks. I want to be able to auto-launch rendering directly from the exporter like it has always been. This empty error message as it is now is also very confusing for the users. A lot of people are thinking, that exporters are not compatible with 2.04 because of this.

cool! Thanks. What about launching and Indigo scene on the Mac from the command line? Can it be done? Also, there is no 'indigo_console' for the Mac. Is it possible to have one? I don't quite understand what can be done yet with the 'Terminal' on a Mac but I'm trying to learn...

Yes, you can launch from the command line from mac and linux. The tricky bit is getting the directory that the executable is in.
The mac distribution will have an indigo_console eventually.
