Indigo 2.0.0 betas are available!

Post by benn » Mon Apr 20, 2009 11:30 pm

Hey everyone!

After lots of work and improvements, we have the first betas of the new GUI ready for you to download. It's been a long development process, but we are in a great position to keep updating and pushing out regular improvements to the new GUI.

For those interested - it is written in C++ with the Qt 4.5 library for the GUI.

This is also our early announcement to the beta users - that Indigo is going commercial. We will still have a free version which is fully featured, but limited to renders of 800 x 600 pixels and with a small 'indigo renderer watermark' in the lower right.

Commercial licenses for Indigo will cost 595€ for a full version, or 195€ for a node license. To say thanks to all the early adopters of Indigo, we are offering full version licences for 295€.

And - as a special offer for the beta group users - the first 100 people that choose to buy a Indigo Full Licence will get a lifetime of free upgrades. So that means you will get Indigo 3.0, 4.0 and so on - for no extra cost. If you are interested in buying this licence, you can access our store at:

http://store.glaretechnologies.com/

We know it's a big step to take Indigo commercial - and we undertake to be a responsive and supportive company for our community. We think this is a great step for Indigo, because it gives us resources to hire more developers and focus on making Indigo as fast and realistic as it possibly can be. We will post more about the commercialization of Indigo on the site over the coming days.

Windows 32 bit:

Windows 64 bit:

Os X:

This is a big step for Indigo - we want to thank you for your support and we're keen to hear your feedback over the next few days.

Kind Regards,
Ben and Nick from Glare Technologies Limited.

! C:\Documents and Settings\Assimetria31\Os meus documentos\Downloads\indigo_v2.0.0.zip: CRC failed in indigo_v2.0.0\QtGui4.dll. The file is corrupt

Got this error while decompressing with WinRAR, tried to use the same file from the 64 archive and still it doesn't worked :(

It decompresses with Windows native system though, although it doesn't work all the same...

Ps. I'm getting the same error messages as Pixie.
(missing LIBEAY32.dll and it doesn't unpack the QtGui4.dll )

Sorry everyone, I've removed the download links until we can work out the archive corruption. Thanks for your patience.
