ssf 1 and 2 look the same with linear scale 1:

ah well, i totally forgot about the random question thread....

the brightness of the whole image is getting darker when using ssf > 1(uhm quite linear), so with linear scale = 0.5 i get a grey image and 0.001 is of course very close to black(aka black).
