Awesome !

Wait are you using my shader or are you asking the question, I'm confused now. Looks too good to be true tbh :D

Are those your renders using my material ?

I'm a bit disappointed, I really thought you understood how the material worked... :P

In my opinion these materials can be fairly approximated using Passionated, I don't have such nice scenes to render (I became somewhat refractive to 3D works) but I'll try to make a point. e: Well I'll stick to my roadmap, optimization first, then there's plenty of room for refinement, new micro-patterns and stuff.

Edit: I think I'm being delusional here, nevermind the joke above. This is a satin/velvet shader really, WIP.

Not bad! :) Could you try a darker colour?

Yes it's valid :)

Try this: hand paint a 6x6, 8x8 etc or even 4*12 pixels map and use it as bump, with a little noise added (also in albedo). Makes the easiest threading !

You can post your test images here, I don't mind, myself am onto Passionated for now :)

I already boggled my mind with procedural threading attempts: it's just U and V sins, but a dongload of them aaargh made knots, no success.

Could it be updated to the current roughness model?
