Material updated, check down the page. (material database page)Still WIP.

I am going to update the Passionated velvet material with shader controls for colors and stuff, and will provide details to use such tricky shaders optimally. Meanwhile I'll be sharing the progress here and tell you when the upload is done.

My thanks goes here to Polinalkrimizei who incited me in reviving this material, cheers !

Same settings, excerpt from a cooking 3k render. I think I pretty much nailed it, it gives me the feeling of what it stands for.

And this is why I'm gonna study ISL for the next year. It's simply that great, it's unbearable. Now.

Mind you, I'm totally unable to put a normal shader together... (as opposed to bump shader)

Hey thesquirell, we can break that material down here if you want, anytime. I'll take my break though, and I'm not going to make a point on why.

YET ANOTHER TRIPLE POST ! <- that's why

Triple us into knowledge! Thank you for this awesome material, and the opportunity to break it down so we can learn from it. Any time, just triple away! :D

No no Sir, that's not how it works ! You did not say that I was going to make you study ISL for the next year did you now ;D ?

No you start training your neurons and ask the right questions  If generic ISL questions, you guys can bump this thread I think:

The material is coming close to its final form, I need to optimize the four shaders with shared code. I inadvertently let the Fresnel scale at 0 in the render below.

About the persistently girly colour I'm using: I actually owned an object until I moved this spring, a box, that was covered in such velvet. That's what inspired this material.

I actually updated the material with this data, destroying the page with the big preview. Will fix.
