rough_concrete DB mat

Post by CTZn » Fri Nov 06, 2015 3:59 am

Update, see below. Hi, I uploaded yesterday 'this material a bit in a hurry because I had a hard time with the site, then a bit with the browser to find where cookies management was hidden (pun waterfox), anyways with the idea to update it soon after.

close-up: 'no link'

The thing is, I launched a preview render from SkIndigo to Indigo and it looked very ugly. Bottom line, I'm not sure it's not a total wreck currently.

Could the material please be tested practically ? I need help to figure out which limitations it needs removed, if it works at all for you. Thanks !

Well I'm done with this one, it's now volumetric and tweakable from the shader editors.

I can possibly add per objectID texture placement shift.

Hi

I tried to import this material in Cinema 4D 17 but I got an error message. My mistake?

C4D import doesn't work with some of the ISL code nowadays used...
Try linking it via "external material" (where you choose phong, specular etc.) in C4D

Thanks for a nice reception, that's half my reward along with practical images ;)

For the attached close-up, I raised the Scale to 100, in order to scale specific fractalish details down to the size of about a pixel. They are real ugly details if not set properly.

Most awesome work dude!!

I will definitely make an image out of that - I'll use it for an open-loft-breakfast-kitchen kind of thing, but the deadline is in two weeks... I'll bump this thread if necessary.

Please do, I'd be delected ! I haven't modeled a thing the past few years, so your pics would really add to my experience !

The bump map is a bit extreme, let me know if that causes issues.

As you changed your signature: I can hijack threads as well!
The image is a test render and uses your silk-mat (well, it hardly shows cause it is so dark, but anyways!).
Silk thread anyone?

I'll teach you the meaning of thread hijacking, see here: http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/vie ... 23&t=10571

I may use it soon. Also I'll take no apologizes since I'm teasing you !

Hi

I applied the material in question on the floor; seems a good result, right?
