"takes a few steps on IE7"

Yes the site looks cleaner but way less practicable to me, I'm seeing much less images than I was before the automated reduction.

My prefered behaviour for this would be to load the image automatically into a new window/tab, just not to have to load the thread page back.

Have you tried dragging the image onto the new tab button?
Doesn't that work in IE7?

Doesn't work, the pointer shows a "forbidden" sign. Even after I created the tab. What's IE8 behaviour on this regard ? Can't install it until I reinstall XP (soonish methinks).

Just tried, IE8 opens the image in the current tab, no matter where on the tab bar I drag it.

Funny. With IE7 when I middle-click on an image it opens in a new tab. Well, the prompt to wether open it with the default application or save it, does

Browser settings...

Attached images are now click-able, but the linked [img] code isn't yet. The forum code isn't that friendly apparently :P
