Studio Setup(s)

Post by noyb » Sat Mar 01, 2008 1:36 pm

Here's another studio setup thread:

A while back, after I finished my Hasselblad, I started working on a studio setup tutorial. It's a couple months later and I still can't find the time to do anything decent, so I'll just post what I have.

It's a small scene in .3ds format with a few different lighting setups to play around with. It was made with the intent to not use an exporter (just textpad the igs), so it's easier for more people to play around with.

*note that the scene was made for 1.0.3, so it may or may not work as-is.

These are the setups in the zip

Feel free to post more if you have good ones :)

(This is probably a bit basic for most of you, but if it helps one person - I'll be happy  )

Thanks Noyb, scene looks good.
I'm just baking a higher res render.

EDIT: Here's a render of the default light setup.

Wow, that was fast :) I wish my machine was that fast.
Thanks Ono, it was the least I could do for this great renderer.

Sorry for the smoothing issues on the model, I model my stuff in Inventor and it never imports perfectly into max :(.
