How to make a white object stand out?

Post by Vish1 » Sat Feb 10, 2018 1:50 am

Dear community,

I have a white material object, and it does not look good, seems a lack of definition. Is there a trick or tip for making white objects stand out more ?

Make the objects around it darker, I guess. :) Do you have a render to share, perhaps?

I did foreground alpha. It's just the middle of the bookcase. Like the encaving ain't looking detailed.

That's just compact white, right? Have you tried changing from Linear to Reinhard tonemapping to ensure that it isn't just completely overexposed?

I have edited the imported material and no longer overexposed
