Video tutorials

Post by Oscar J » Wed Jan 04, 2017 6:39 am

Hi all,

In collaboration with the Indigo team I have started making new video tutorials for Indigo and made a new section for them here:

http://www.indigorenderer.com/video-tutorials

More to come hopefully. However I don't know the other plugins for Indigo so I'd like to make a request for anyone feeling like recording some footage for any of them (I can edit and do voice overs etc if necessary). Or for standalone Indigo, in particular for the more advanced subjects that I don't know too much about. :)

Thanks in advance, and enjoy. :)

NICE 8)

Count me in for some Cinema4D tut. Maybe it's time to explain the usage of the light kit i made.
I hope we see some ISL magic tut's from @galinette and other maestro's of the genre.

There's a hint at a new feature to be presented in the next release! Easter eggs had come to Indigo! :D

The layers system.

Another hint is light portals available for GPU, otherwise the optimizations stated in the end wouldn't make that much sense

Awesome videos, and very needed!
It should be made mandatory to watch before the download :)

Also great glimpse of the future of Indigo GPU. the preview pics are a nice idea!

That's cool, Oscar! I've just watched just one of those and it was good and "introductory-friendly" (if that is a word :) ) I'll get to watch other ones later today to get the idea.

There is a thing with the workflow (meaning Blender->Blendigo->Indigo) as it's being a combination of personal decisions and "workarounds" for particular cases. So, there is a good chance, that some of them are not "ideal" for one reason or another. Some kind of tech review wound be really helpful. Do you think something like that could be possible?

You're talking about the interior optimisations tutorial. :) (The other ones don't have any blender in them). Yeah I think I'll actually edit that one a little bit, as there's a thing or two I'd like to clarify. Also the IES light can be edited much more easily in Indigo.

This is cool... I overlooked the optimisation settings totally.

Sorry guys!
I am trying to investigate possible bugs in SkIndigo camera aperture and obstacle systems.

I recall I saw a short video from Glare showing realtime modifications on a car scene, but I can't find it anywhere: can you please point it at me?

Thanks in advance!
