Hello,everybody
first, thanks to everyone who present me the help to resolve the problem on skindigo.through this learning,I feel my skill on operating skindigo gets a very big progress.
and then ,I encounter another problem hoped to be resolved.
the problem just like this:
When I set a light indoor in daylight,I get the result like this:
in the upper scene,I choose the "Sun and Sky"in skindigo render setting and without any changing with others. and I draw a plane covering the window, set an "Exit Portal" material to it .
and do you notice the yellow block? it is this light source.I set a light of 70W material to it and choose an IES file to it.but through rendering,I cannot see the light in the upper scene.
And then,I close the "Sun and Sky" and set the "sketchup background color" to black, and delete the plane covering the window, after rendering,I get the next result:
in this scene,I can see the light lighting.
What's this problem?
Why cannot I see the light in daylight.
Because sometimes We need some lights to light the dark part in a scene to get a good result in daylight.
Just like the picture below:
I want to make the part in circle tobe more bright.
What should I do will be right?

Re: Encountering another problem about light
Again, it's cuz you're using Reinhard tonemapping.
What Reinhard does is map the brightest spot of the image to white, and everything follows. So anything that's very dim won't have a significant effect (brightness) because the dynamic range of the image has been shifted up towards the bright light source.
What that means is that if you have the Sun & Sky enabled alongside your emitter, you won't see the emitter because the Sun and Sky are just too overpowering. It's there and it's emitting light, but since the Sun and Sky are so bright, its effect on the scene brightness is negligible.
Two solutions:
- amp up that light so that its brightness matches the sun.
- switch to Camera or Linear (I definitely prefer Camera) tonemapping and adjust your exposure, then adjust the brightness of the light to balance it with the sun.

Re: Encountering another problem about light
this time, I changed the Tonemapping to camera, and adjust the film ISO to 10,and I increase the light power to 200W,but I get the scene like this:
Maybe somewhere I made mistake, could you resolve it for me?Master!
Thanks a lot firstly!
Still cannot see the light.Maybe somewhere I made mistake, could you resolve it for me?Master!

Re: Encountering another problem about light
It is not just like the real world.

Hmm it seems to work ok for me. Is your scene modeled in a correct scale? Is your material 80% (not 100%) white?
Also, you can't really see correct colours until you get an sample per pixel level of about ~20+
Generally if you expose for a daylight exterior, normal wattage lights will be dull. Probelm lots of arch photographers have faced for years.

Thanks a lot,I adjust the wall's color to more dark, and get this:
it seems very difficult to adjust the scene to final fine and real result!!!
but,the light I adjust its power to 300W,and get upper scene.it seems very difficult to adjust the scene to final fine and real result!!!
Re: Encountering another problem about light(Problem Still E
Yeah I understand it is very tricky. You could use lightlayers to fine tune the balance you want while rendering. Best way is to set the light to a high value (close to the level of the sun) and set it to a new light layer. Then you can adjust as you feel fit in rendering
