Warning against upgrading to v7.1

Post by neo0. » Mon Nov 09, 2009 5:56 pm

How could you ignore the friendly "update available" message? I certainly couldn't. Now im stuck with one of the most unstable modelers in existence. Seriously, it crashes, working on 10,000 polygon models.... This is just embarrassing for Google...

Well, I'll probabaly go polish off my Cod4 skills in the meantime, while they work on getting it fixed. :)

Anything more specific? can you get reproducible crashes?

"it crashes, working on 10,000 polygon models" doesnt really say anything about why it might be crashing.

That's too bad, neo. For me, the 7.1 release has been a huge improvement and very stable.. :?

ditto for me.
7.1 can handle more polys more efficiently than previous versions of SU. I think you have something else going on which leads to the crash.
more info about what you're doing leading up to the crash etc would be helpful in sorting out your problem.

I have no problems either with 7.1. Maybe you just want to reinstall, it can't hurt.
