Using render foreground alpha in skindigo
Re: Using render foreground alpha in skindigo
Really? Hmm, I never knew that.. If only for the purpose of furthering user choice, it would be good if indigo supported a few image formats. BMP, GIF, TGA, etc.
Re: Using render foreground alpha in skindigo
Rendering to alpha like it is now is Indigo's feature and not exporter specific.Cheesestraws wrote:I guess the problem here is the distinction between a feature of the renderer and a feature of the exporter, from what I can tell this is a feature of skindigo that creates an alpha mask for masking out the environment in post. As Indigo doesn't support rendering the background as transparent it is the only way to do it.

Wow I did not know that. Thanks suvakas So how do you "turn it on" add an <alpharender> tag?suvakas wrote:Rendering to alpha like it is now is Indigo's feature and not exporter specific.Cheesestraws wrote:I guess the problem here is the distinction between a feature of the renderer and a feature of the exporter, from what I can tell this is a feature of skindigo that creates an alpha mask for masking out the environment in post. <render_foreground_alpha>true</render_foreground_alpha>

They really need to incorporate all of these coding features into the GUI.. so you don't need to manually edit the .igs file in a text editor.

Those "coding features" are (at least should be) available via your exporter UI.

I'm pretty sure you can render alpha from the Blendigo UI.Godzilla wrote:They really need to incorporate all of these coding features into the GUI.. so you don't need to manually edit the .igs file in a text editor.
