Well I'll be damned.. Looks like I did..

Here's what the ruby console says now

Code: Select all

Error: #<Errno::ENOENT: No such file or directory - C:\Users\Eric\AppData\Roaming/Indigo Renderer/default-meshes.igs>
C:/Program Files (x86)/Google/Google SketchUp 7/Plugins/skindigo.rb:427:in `initialize'
C:/Program Files (x86)/Google/Google SketchUp 7/Plugins/skindigo.rb:427:in `new'
C:/Program Files (x86)/Google/Google SketchUp 7/Plugins/skindigo.rb:427:in `export'
C:/Program Files (x86)/Google/Google SketchUp 7/Plugins/skindigo.rb:7336
C:/Program Files (x86)/Google/Google SketchUp
Nah, I don't have that folder in /roaming.. It must be missing..

Neo,

Try opening Indigo and rendering a testscene from the testscene folder. After doing so, then try to Render a scene using SkIndigo.

I suspect that Indigo is not creating the 'Indigo Renderer' path when you install Indigo. It may be only creating the path the first time you render.

There is no restrictions on the number of processors for a license. However, each computer running Indigo in a network would need a license (either a full license or a node license). You might want to send a private message to benn to confirm this.

Hi Whaat: MAJOR issue here.
SkIndigo 2.0.8 doesn't accept any external exponent map. ANY.
What can cause this?

This is REALLY REALLY REALLY annoying...

Thanks for the report. Are you sure that exponent maps are the ONLY ones that don't work? :) I will make sure to fix this for next release....hopefully released within a week or so.

hi whaat, i tested all other material parameters and it does seem to be limited exponent alone. looks like you changed a method name from exp_map to exponent_map and missed it in one spot.

after changing it, it works ok.

..so: will it be fixed in the next release, I suppose
Happy that it was not so hard to fix :D

At the moment for my professional work I'm back to 1.1.18: my problem is that I have to render a 2500 pixels-wide image, and Indigo crashes at that resolution with two light layers (sky AND sun), though I don't really have the need to separate the two light sources, this time.

So, once again, I ask for an improvement: is possible to make SkIndigo usually export ONE layer for sun and sky, and to specify (in the environment tab) if from time to time one wants to separate the sun and sky layers?

Hi Whaat,

I switched to your latest exporter, now being unable to export my scene. ruby console gives this output:
"------SkIndigo Export Run------"
"Faces 99916"
"Instances 103"
"Material Meshes 35"
"Component Meshes 4"
"Spheres 0"
Error: #<NoMethodError: undefined method `get_materials' for #<SkindigoMatObserver:0xe641160>>
C:/PROGRA~2/Google/GOOGLE~3/Plugins/skindigo.rb:5025:in `write_mat'
C:/PROGRA~2/Google/GOOGLE~3/Plugins/skindigo.rb:4901:in `export_material'
C:/PROGRA~2/Google/GOOGLE~3/Plugins/skindigo.rb:461:in `export'
C:/PROGRA~2/Google/GOOGLE~3/Plugins/skindigo.rb:461:in `each'
C:/PROGRA~2/Google/GOOGLE~3/Plugins/skindigo.rb:461:in `export'
C:/PROGRA~2/Google/GOOGLE~3/Plugins/skindigo.rb:349:in `export_as'
C:/PROGRA~2/Google/GOOGLE~3/Plugins/skindigo.rb:7316
C:/PROGRA~2/Google/GOOGLE~3/Plugins/skindigo.rb:7316:in `call'

I allready cleaned most of my materials, not really being able to find the issue. A fresh scene just works fine.
Thanks in advance
CHF

Ok, seems to be related to a linked igm?! Strange, allways worked so far.

Hi CHF,

I made some changes and linked IGM material do not work in SkIndigo 2.0.8. I have already fixed them for the next version so just wait a bit for the next version and all will be fine. Maybe try loading the material (instead of linking) in the meantime.
