rendering translucent materials

Post by thomaso » Mon Mar 26, 2007 3:58 pm

I'm new to Indigo and the SU plugin and i'm wondering how do you render translucent materials like netting or perforated sheets? I don't want the shiny effect that i get from using specular. Is there a way to make the material matt, but translucent at the same time?

Also, if I add a bump image, how do i make that translucent as well?

With glossy-transparent, you can define the sharpness of the mirror-effect.
If you set a very low exponent, it should look like nearly no reflection, I guess...
