Using sun with HDRI as reflection and background

Post by oleg » Tue Nov 15, 2016 11:01 am

Hello!
I can not configure HDRI as a reflection, using "add sun" option.
I would like to clarify that the HDRI must not emit light. HDRI is to be background and reflections on shiny surfaces.
I found on the forum to set up 2 threads:

But I could not get it set up, my HDRI like a wild thing! He does not want to obey!
Attached is a scene in the skp and wild HDRI, tell me how it can be customized?
Thank you in advance.

Hmm, I think the HDRI always emits light in Indigo (and in other engines too I believe). Try less emission, or a HDRI with a less intense light source. If you just want something to reflect, I guess you could build some physical geometry and map something on there.
