I'm deeply deceived.
No new features. Nothing looks really improved to me.

What do you guys think?

I've installed it, but have yet to try it, will have to get around to it (time permitting).

I'm excited about the PDF exporter rework and LO's C API in particular, making it possible for plugins / extensions to LO if I understand it correctly.

Hi

It seems that there are not sensational news.

At first I used it as an importer of objects but soon I realized that for that purpose it was better C4D. If you build a model in SU it is preferable but ilo software should be cleared up by the plethora of plug-ins many useless. Would they like the four contemporary views and render it more practical for buildings prefer Archicad. :?

Are you a Pro or Make user? Only reason I'm interested to know is what your opinion / experience is on Layout...

Layout is terrible.

I'm sure you can get some good drawings from it, but its clunky and slow and lacking a lot of basic features.

But I'm used to Adobe Indesign and Illustrator, so maybe that's being unfair.

Layout 2016 looks better...any speed increases are welcome.

I'm not sure that making Sketchup's interface resemble Layout 2015 is a good idea...I'll have to use 2016 more before I decide if it's an improvement, or not.

I know Trimble are investing much more into Sketchup than Google were, and a lot of the effort so far has been on back-end functions. Unfortunately the basic things that Pros use, such as a useful component browser, are lagging way way behind in the priority rankings.

Hi

SketchUp and Alias 3d were two programs for Mac sold by Alias (Canada) for Apple System7 in the early 90s.
Today SU is Google but here reigns the most complete anarchy and I admire those who can get us out pleasing projects! It 'a plethora of plugins stuck to one another without a logical correlation. At this point it would be logical to buy the best plugins, redoing the interface with 4 views and start from the beginning!
