Thank you, now it works! :D

Do you have a solution about the problem with the environment map? Whatever render method I use, the model turns black, as if the "add sun" option doesn't work. If there is no solution, I will have to uninstall this version and use the previous one :?: (need to finish my project until this weekend).

@Lape

Do you definitely need to use the 'add sun' option? Have you tried upping the gamma on the Env Map to get sharp shadows?

@Ono

It seems that the mesh subdivisions under 'Edit Active Mesh' only work on grouped objects now? Not really an issue just wondering if it was intentional.

Yes, I need the sun option. Only Env Map with gamma doesn't give me shadows. My model is placed in a photo, so model and photo shadows should be similar. I always take my own panorama at the site and use ptgui to create a hdri or exr env map, then use it for my model for lighting and reflections. This worked fine until 3.8, though there always were issues about balance between env map and sun.

Hi bubs,
It used to be possible to subdivide *all* top-level geometry (geometry not in a component definition/instance). I don't think it's a good idea to allow this, and it's not possible now.

Updated build:

Added arch glass option to specular.
Removed thin glass material type.
Made subdivision view-dependent option off by default.

Have fixed this issue in Indigo, making a new build currently.

Thank for the update,but now I get this:
sketchup env map test2.jpg
sketchup env map test1.jpg
The option for light layers doest not work in Indigo, and I only get lighting by env map, no sun... :?
Or did I miss something?

Some more optimisations, subsequent exports of test scene are down to 0.5s (originally ~20s).
