What I have done is create a scene with an albedo and bump texture.
bump texture is mushrooms2.jpg.
I then save the scene and close sketchup.
I then rename mushrooms2.jpg to something else.
When I open the scene, the dotted button is red besides the bump texture settings.
If I click it, then select mushrooms2.jpg in some other folder and press accept, then it becomes non-red, and sketchup exports the scene fine.

I don't know if it is some issue related to the file location..

I guess there is some problem when the additional texture has same name but different path. I haven't experienced it when working on the SAME machine, but only when changing workstation.

If you guys have two machines there, try saving the scene and copying the SU file and texture on a usb drive.
Then change pc, copy the two files on the desktop. The red square will appear (correctly) but there will be no way to link it again to mushrooms2.jpeg on the desktop. You will have to change the name of the texture for SkIndigo to accept it..

I just tried moving a Skup file from one machine to another. I had to change the texture path to remove the red dots, but when I did (to the same texture at a different location), so the same filename but different path, it worked fine.

..well that is..odd. It should NOT work

At least it does here..... Just tried this morning.
Maybe it is something which has been fixed in the latest releases? I'm running 3.6.11 at home and at work.

Hey Pibuz,
I think (at least I hope) this was fixed in 3.6.14 (see changelog below). I had experienced the same issue before so I know what you are talking about. Let me know if it still doesn't work after upgrading.

#Added: support for spherical camera
#Added: 1m scale Indigo preview scene - WIP
#Added: ability to easily create custom preview scenes - WIP
#Changed: Exit Portal materials now replace exit portal meshes
#Fixed: full path of textures now shown in texture editor
#Fixed: Made Indigo preview scene render faster
