Hide objects from final render

Post by Puck » Thu Nov 24, 2011 2:11 am

Hi again,

I have a scene with several lights which I've made out of simple cubes which I don't want to see in the final render. I want the light to emit from the objects but not to be visible to the camera.

Is it possible to achive this?

Thanks in advance,

Puck

Hide objects from final render

Nope, you can't do that (yet).
It is an often requested feature though.
Also for your product photography a classic studio photography set-up is likely the way to go. I remember a thread a couple of years ago where a user had generated several light sources commonly used in studio photography in Sketchup. For starters, use simple planes as light sources not cubes.

Thank you for the tips. Waiting for that feature in a future release then!
