C'mon then, lets hear the ideas that you want implemented in MtI.
Request anything at all.
Anything reasonably practical and worthwhile may get implemented, but no promises.

I think the only way to get around that problem is to bake the textures to file.
Indigo doesn't support procedurals of any kind, and even if it will in the future they are unlikely to be the same functions or use the same parameters as Maya has.
MtI could be made to bake textures for you, however some problems have been discovered with baking 3d procedurals - there are artifacts related to the camera angle (CTZn and myself discussed this issue in a thread in this forum, i forget which one) - hence it was decided that it shouldn't be used by default as the user needs to be aware of these problems.
I'll think about how to incorporate texture baking into MtI in a useable way.

Hi everyone, I'm pleased to announce i'm back online !
- indigoCamera
- meshLights (full support for powerDrawn, efficacy, plus all peak values)
- lots of shaders
- Sun
...
It will just be an icon into the main window; meshlights and shaders export scripts where slightly modified. Expect a beta release under 7 days
Cheers !!!
PS: Credit to Matt B and Arbe OOG for the original idea (and script former structure)
I've been working on this the last days, and that's quite working. Now that I'm online I'll work on merging the "Indigo Properties" window with current version. It's still under devellopment but works already for:vux wrote:MTI is near completed
but some features will be good (as I see in Blendigo)
1) I think that will be ok whit all settings in one window (not special for adv. settings)

I've started adapting the widget to indigoShader, but I'm no fast coder, no no no. That window in it's final version is supposed to give access to all objects Indigo references.
I'm still assuming it corresponds to one of vux wishes, and things as I see them are converging toward a quite simple interface. It was decided to rewrite MtI almost from scratch in order to do a simple exporter, obviously it's now a rather complex one. So go for a complex exporter and the simplest interface, that's what I say !
I don't see this as a competitor of indigoShader in no way, it just puts things into one small window. And at the contrary, I'm enthusiastic about not messing with Maya shaders at all (in a near future maybe) !
Expect a beta-testing release the next 72h. You'll then tell me if it improves the user experience or not.
Cheers !
