There is also another C4D exporter project for Indigo but I haven't tested it till now, so I don't know how good it is and if it would be an alternative for BlackLizard's.
Here you can find it:

Yeah, if you'd like to do so, write him!
Also I have seen meanwhile, that this plug is pure COFFEE, so anyone who can code that could work on this plug and make adjustments.
Nevertheless it's a good idea to ask him before.
I don't know if he see his work as PD or open source.
But probably it could be a good start for an open source C4D exporter without the danger that the author lose interest.

OK... I did get an eMail back from AG, the developer of this Exporter.
The Main Problem is, that he only owns the older C4D 8.5 version,
so his exporters doesn't work for C4D9+ because of some changes
in COFFEE in v9
He also wrotes, that COFFEE is very performance hungry and to slow for bigger Scene Export...
He doesn't told me if he still works on this Exporter BUT His PlugIn is Readable COFFEE Code, and everybody is allowed to modify it!
At last he wishes Indigo a bright & shiny future, and hopes that the rising popularity of Indigo lurks some developer that will do an Exporter...
