Request: Before and after images for cinema4d
Hey all,
Can you post some images of your renders as a screenshot of cinema 4d, then what they look like in Indigo? I want to build a good looking cinema 4d page like the sketchup page

Might want to chase after zeit, I believe his road scene was created in C4D?

Yup, that's the stuff - cheers guys.

I understand, that the purpose of these comparisons is to bring out the quality of Indigo but in my opinion it's not a very fair and reliable comparison, because the C4D internal render-engine normally produces a lot better final output if used reasonable.
This just shows how an indigo optimised scene could look in C4D if it's trimmed for Indigo output only.
I would prefer good looking C4D images (as good as it gets) against more photorealistic looking Indigo images.
Just my two cents!

Re: Request: Before and after images for cinema4d
Totally agree with Phoenix.
But it's so hard and time-expensive to setup materials and lighting for two renderers, and there are really masters in producing photorealistic renderings with the Cinema 4D standard renderer.
So if you show any direct comparision between these two, someone will always claim that the C4D-renderer-scene is not being setup optimal.
So these comparisons don't make much sense in my eyes.
These above screenshots can and should only show the editor view; optimally with visible light sources (planes, lights) or info about invisible ones.

Re: Request: Before and after images for cinema4d
If someone wants to post an image from c4d internal vs indigo that'd be amazing. I would like that image just to show the strength of unbiased for all renderers. That little tiny extra bit of realism that makes Indigo look real, rather than almost real.
Re: Request: Before and after images for cinema4d
For example, take a look in the following c4d-forum thread:
http://www.cgnetwork.de/forum/showthread.php?t=102693
(Registration is necessary)
Perhaps these could be applicable:
http://www.cgnetwork.de/forum/showthread.php?p=1029311 (C4D AR version)
http://www.cgnetwork.de/forum/showthread.php?p=1029511 (with Indigo by fused!)
I would even say, this is a fair enough C4D AR counterpart: http://www.cgnetwork.de/forum/showthread.php?p=1029022
It's not bad either but the differences to Indigo are more striking.
Another c4d alternative: http://www.cgnetwork.de/forum/showthread.php?p=1030054
Maybe you can ask the appropriate people for there permission to use the images.
I also think, fused would generally be a good contact person for your endeavor.
