guess my description is not so good...

the material helpers icon shows the layer color of the layer of the applied material :D

If you added all indigos objects to an indigo layer and materials to a material layer child of it, it would ease a lot, since one might solo the indigo layer and be working on it
probably easier than modifying the helper icon
I also though that it would :D

yeah, thats actaully a good idea, too, but i think it takes the freedom from the user to choose which material belongs to which layer :)

hehe that was me just going wild, but at least give a common layer under indigo so that one might solo indigo objects

pixie is that R11 you're using or did you change your material "sphere preview in front of stripes" scene in any other way?
Looks so much better than in R10

That's R11 alright, but it can be made much better, using GI.

ipartner wrote:Hi,

hm, got 4 crashes now with Cindigo 1.1.18. I don't get a Mac version of Indigo (...) and so I normally render my scenes on OpenArtist (Ubuntu) after export.

After I've converted my material and go through the settings of them a "beachball of death" appears. I don't clicked preview or something like that. Any idea? Maybe the plugin tries to find a indio.exe?

Thanks

Helge
ipartner,

i tested you scene and it works fine for me. are you using R11? if yes, im afraid i cant help you at the moment. i will try to build a cindigo version for R11 with the demo in the next few days.

run in 32 bit mode. using cindigo with R11 is not recommended at the moment, its crashing quite often....

Thank you :)

edit: the "status" shows whats appiled to the channel. there are 4 states: texture, ISL shader, unsupported and none
edit: futher elaboration - status shows what kind of shader is applied to the chanel. if you apply a texture(shader) it shows "texture", if you apply a Cindigo ISL shader it shows "ISL shader", if you apply any c4d shader its shows "unsupported" (as c4d shaders are not supported at the moment)

Can anyone tell me how to install cindigo in cinema R10 for Mac? I copied the folder from the zip to cinema's plugins folder and nothing in the menu.
Thanks in advance.
